Stash Challenge #28 ~ PHOTOS

 "Beautiful Day"
I am really excited and honored to be sharing my first layout for this fantastic challenge and site. I went with a shabby chic style and a bit of elegance to create this my friend's wedding day layout. I used soft pastel colors, mixed media, distressing and inking. I added chipboard, resin elements and white metal for an added touch. - See more at: http://scrapourstash.blogspot.com/2015/07/design-team-introduction-rachelle.html#sthash.fxhKEKPO.dpuf

Love My Fabric~Decorated Candle

 Hi there blog friends!
Rachelle here and I am up on Love My Fabric blog today
sharing my latest project.
It was on my list to decorate a candle using fabric from

It is quick and easy peasy to create.
Take a peek!
I love candles without lighting for home decor.
I decided to use a soft grey, white, and pink for color scheme.

Attached the fabric fold on the back using glue or
double sided tape.
I applied the embellishments from the left side
 toward the center.

Here you can see the embellishments used:
Prima leaves, swirl bling, a few Prima roses-medium size,
miniature rose buds, May Arts bow, rhinestone pin and pearl stick pin.

 All done!
The perfect candle decor for any table.
Be sure to stop by the LMF blog to see the entire project:

String Art Challenge at Frosted Designs

Hi there peeps!
Rachelle here and I am up on the FD blog with my team mates
 sharing DT examples
for this week's Friday Challenge-String Art.
Take a look at

Frosted Designs
and enjoy viewing what I created!

"I Am so Happy"
My girlfriend Misti & Russel's Wedding Day~May 3, 2014

It is all about String Art this week.
I went with fancy stitch around the entire bottom layer of cardstock.
Then I applied string/twine and tags in various areas of the design.

More Views:

I created a mixed media background using several Prima stencils
along with a brick stencil. Then I applied mist and ink to get the
 pastel color texture.

I love working with layers so I applied them behind the bridal picture.
The journal reads:
"Misti is happy and ready for her beautiful wedding day
as the flower girl places flowers in her hair."

The small frame shows a picture of the flower girl which looks so sweet.
I enjoyed creating this design with my some of my Prima stash and colors.

I will be entering this Layout into these
challenges:

Prima Flowers
Prima Resin Collections
Prima Butterfly
Prima Birds
Color Scheme

*Prima Blog-May Prima Product Pick
*Scrap Our Stash May Challenge-E-M-B-O-S-S
E-Enamel Dots
M-Mixed Media
B-Butterfly
O-Outdoor Wedding Picture
S-String {Burlap/Twine}

There you have it! A finished mixed media layout.
