As part of the tour Brenda gave me 4 questions to answer:
A big thank you Brenda my scrap BFF for inviting me to be part of this Creative Blog Tour! I trust that I will inspire others in the scrap gallery world. I know the ladies that I tag will inspire you as well. With that, let me get started!
As part of the tour Brenda gave me 4 questions to answer:
1. What am I working on?
Currently I am creating design team assignments and duties. I design for:
Frosted Designs, Sketch N Scrap, Scrap It Girl, Unique Laser designs and sketches4 All.ning. I so love designing for these teams such as, layouts, cards, mixed media, altered art using wood cutouts and canvas art. On my craft table is a layout for Frosted Designs Kit team.
2. How does my work differ from others of it's genre?
I am not to different than others. I just like to detailed my work and my style is not clean and simple. for the most part my style is "shabby chic." This style gives viewers a visual of flowers, lace, resin elements and more. A girly look of cute, pretty and elegant. I love to get messy too when creating mixed media canvas.
3. Why do I write/create what I do?
For me to create is "therapeutic." I started scrapbooking in 2008 when I saw a friend's work. "I have got to learn this," was my first thought. I was totally amazed and just took off. Basically being "self taught," and then joining scrap communities where I learned more each day. I then met Brenda my scrap BFF and started stepping up higher and higher. My passion turned into great therapy because I am wheelchair and house bound after having to leave my career of teaching. I never looked back! It was no longer just creating photo albums it was an art of inspiration for myself and others.
4. How does your writing/creating process work?
Prior to design teams I was always creating for challenges to win goodies/site badges.Who doesn't love getting happy mail. I wanted to do more and work with teams because I loved the duties and creating of inspiration. I really like commenting on entries and going to all the various blogs. Just a basic comment makes a person's day. Which is another good reason for blogging. The process now is being given a sketch or title and put my mind to work then just take off and do it. I love the organization of designer work because you know what needs to be done throughout the month and get the creative juices flowing. It can be a photo, paper collection I am given or want to use, or viewing a sketch. This is how the process works.
Here are a few of my recent projects:
As you can see "I do it all."
Alrighty, enough about me. Now it's time for you to meet 2 of my favorite and fantastic scrap friends. One of the wonderful things about scrapbooking and more is being a part of the various online communities and blogging. Friendships begin along this journey and they thrive and bloom forever more.
Be sure to visit the blogs of both of these inspiring and talented friends by

Brandi Matos: Lucky Flutterby Creations
My name is Brandi Matos and I am just another obsessed scrapper in the
world of paper crafting! I live in Florida, also known as “The Sunshine
State”, with my two beautiful girls and amazing husband. I run a small
business from home selling invitations for a variety of events and
thoroughly enjoy what I do! I literally stumbled across scrapbooking a
little over two years ago and completely fell in love with it! From
layouts, cards, to off the page projects, I enjoy it all! I love
to get messy playing with different mediums to make something truly
fabulous! Although most of my work revolves around my two girls and is
pretty "girly", I don't really have a set "style". I am still very new
to this hobby and enjoy trying a little bit of everything. If I see it, I
like it, I try it! It's that simple! Please feel free to visit my
work at Lucky Flutterby Creations.
Hi, my name is Cheryl and I've been scrapbooking since my first grandson
was born almost 18 years ago. I now have a total of six grandchildren
and the youngest one just turned three. I love seeing their faces on
the pages that I scrap. I always say that I'll never run out of
pictures.
I've been an avid photographer most of my life so that fits in quite
nicely with this hobby. I love creating scrapbook pages of all sizes
and have more recently fallen in love with digital scrapbooking. I also
love making cards, tags, ATCs and altered art. I don't really have a "style" and love "mixing it up". Right now, I'm
loving creating canvases and working with lots of different painting and
mixed media techniques. You'll see quite a bit of mixed media art even
on my tiny ATC canvases.
I love getting in my scraproom every day and creating!
